after watching the finale I keep thinking back to this scene between korra and tarrlok
Day 46 | Climbing back on the bandwagon for the finale
She tried to forget the sound of the water running underneath their gazebo. Her mind settled on her breath for a moment and then snapped to a pain floating up in her knee. She broke concentration and looked at the bald, tattooed man across from her.
“Nope,” she said to him. He opened an eye and sighed when he saw both of hers were opened, too.
“You’ve got to try harder,” Tenzin told her.
Day 46 | matched.
Just two old OC’s. Their names are still in the works of alteration.
A little back story: they weren’t quote on quote “matched” as they were just arranged to marry since Seiko’s fam was super poor and pretty much needed to “sell” her to a richer family (which was better than giving her up at a brothel). Kurisho isn’t rich by any means but his family’s business, albeit still small, is growing. Their marriage was not consensual for them by any means. But it worked out in the end.
She was 15 and he was 17. They’re something like in their late twenties in this sketch though. edit: o right and kurisho’s an amputee due to this war thang goin’ on

i did want to gift them with a full fledged drawing because they are gorgeous and have great style that i would love to draw!!! but apparently i’m not enough out of my art slump quite yet to do so U o U .
